ExploraTour - How to Build a Star
To say the sun is a giant by Earth standards is an understatement. It is one of the biggest things you've ever seen up close.
The mass of 300,000 Earths would be required to balance the sun on a scale. Think about that for a moment .... 300,000 mountanous crusts; 300,000 human civilizations including all of their monuments and buildings; 300,000 vast encircling ocean systems; 300,000 times everything you've every seen on Earth and all the parts of the Earth below ground that you haven't seen.
And our sun is a rather average star. Stars range from a puny one-tenth to an impressive 120 times the mass of the sun.
