Fronts
Fronts are some of the basic building blocks of weather. Fronts occur where two large air masses collide at the surface. Fronts are caused by winds moving one air mass away from its birthplace.
On Earth, fronts are usually associated with rain, snow, or hail. Severe weather, such as thunderstorms and tornados can occur with fronts on Earth. It remains to be seen whether fronts do the same thing on Mars.
