The colorful clouds near the top of this picture are Polar Stratospheric Clouds (PSCs). PSCs are the only type of clouds found in the stratosphere. They are part of the cause of the ozone hole. Ice crystals in the PSC break sunlight up into different colors. What colors do you you see in the cloud?
