Shuttle-Mir Program Comes to a Close
News story originally written on June 13, 1998
The shuttle Discovery landed yesterday. It was a perfect landing.
During its mission, Discovery docked with the Russian space station, Mir. The shuttle picked up Andy Thomas. He spent over four months on Mir. Discovery was his ride home to Earth!
The shuttle will not travel back to Mir so the Shuttle-Mir program is over.
