U.S. Pagers Silenced
News story originally written on May 20, 1998
Do either of your parents own a pager? Maybe your older brother does? Their pagers may not be working...and you can tell them why!
Last night, a satellite that is in space broke. This satellite was used to relay pager messages to about 40 million American pager users.
You may also have noticed that some of your favorite t.v. stations or radio stations are down. This too may be because the satellite broke! People are working very hard to fix the satellite. Stay tuned!
