Oceans on Europa?
News story originally written on August 26, 2000

Scientists think there may be water on Europa. Europa is one of Jupiter's moons. It is very cold on Europa.

This moon's surface is made of ice. But scientists think there may be salt water under this ice. If they are right, then there may be life on Europa!

The Galileo spacecraft helped scientists study the moon. In the year 2003, the Europa orbiter will be sent to study the moon.
