Brian Duffy
Brian Duffy is an American astronaut who was born on June 20, 1953,
in Massachusetts. Before he became an astronaut, Duffy was a test pilot
for the Air Force. He has logged over 4000 hours of flight time in 25
different aircraft.
Duffy became an astronaut in 1986. He has spent over 667 hours in
space on three spaceflights.
Duffy made his first spaceflight in 1992 aboard STS-45. The crew
studied the Earth and the Sun during this mission. In 1993, he
flew aboard STS-57. The crew conducted several experiments on materials
and life science research. Duffy commanded STS-72 in 1996.
