George Low

George Low is an American astronaut who was born on February 19, 1956, in Ohio. Before he became an astronaut, Low worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Low became an astronaut in 1985. He has spent over 714 hours in space on three spaceflights.

Low made his first spaceflight aboard STS-32 in 1990. The crew deployed a communications satellite during this mission. He flew aboard STS-43 in 1991.

In 1993, Low flew aboard STS-57. Low made a 6 hour spacewalk during this mission. He left NASA in 1996.
