Alexandr Viktorenko

Alexandr Viktorenko was a cosmonaut who was born on March 29, 1947, in Oglinka, Kazakhstan.

Viktorenko became a cosmonaut in 1978. He spent over 174 days in space on three spaceflights. In 1987, Viktorenko flew aboard Soyuz TM-3. The crew visited the Mir space station for 8 days.

Viktorenko made his second spaceflight commanding Soyuz TM-8 in 1988. They docked with Mir where Viktorenko stayed for 6-months. He performed 5 spacewalks during this mission. In 1992, Viktorenko flew aboard Mir again for 5 months.
