This picture of Saturn was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2004. This is about how Saturn would look to your eyes if you could see it close-up. Saturn has clouds that are made up of the chemicals ammonia and methane. These clouds make colors in Saturn's atmosphere. Can you see stripes of different colors on Saturn? Different amounts of the chemicals make different colors. That is what makes the stripes on Saturn.
