SOHO Instrumentation Page
SOHO has two modules, one of which holds 12 instruments. Each of these is used to study one of three areas of the Sun. The goals of the SOHO mission were to study the inner core and outer atmosphere of the Sun, as well as the origin of the solar wind. The main mission was completed in 1997, but the spacecraft is still in use.
