Problems With WIRE Spacecraft End Mission

The Wide-Field Infrared Explorer (WIRE) has a problem. It won't be able
to study star formation in other galaxies. It lost the hydrogen that it
needed to keep its instruments cool.
WIRE started releasing hydrogen soon after launch. Before ground
controllers could stop it, all the hydrogen was released.
