Penguin Sense of Decor

All Adelie Penguin nests are not alike. These birds have different ideas of what makes a pretty nest. Rocks are the only material available, but variations in construction abound. Some are big, over 200 rocks, others use less than 20, some penguins prefer large rocks, others small pebbles. Males need to create a nest that will attract a female. These pictures show only some of the styles and decorating schemes at Cape Royds this year. If you were a female Adelie Penguin, which one would you choose?
