Uranus is tilted on its side. The South Pole is on the left in this image. A bright "hood" of methane clouds covers the South Pole. Colors in the image were enhanced to show features, including the polar hood and other cloud bands, our eyes cannot normally see. The Hubble Space Telescope captured this image in August 2006.
