Jon Linker
Dr. Jon A. Linker is a research scientist in the Applied Physics Operation of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in San Diego. He is an expert in the development and application of large-scale magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulations for
problems in space plasma physics. Dr. Linker received his Ph.D in Geophysics and Space Physics from UCLA in 1987, where he investigated plasma flow past Jupiter's moon Io. His current research interests include the nature of Jupiter's Galilean satellites and their interaction with the Jovian magnetospheric plasma, the stucture and dynamics of the solar corona, the initiation and propagation of coronal mass ejections, and the application of coronal and solar wind modeling to space-weather forecasting.
