Galileo Finds Veritable Chemical Factory On Europa

Scientists using instruments aboard the Galileo spacecraft have found hydrogen peroxide on Jupiter's moon Europa. This is added to the list of chemicals such as sulfur dioxide, water ice, and carbon dioxide that have already been discovered there.

The hydrogen peroxide is created by the intense radiation coming from Jupiter. Hydrogen peroxide isn't found naturally on Earth's surface because we aren't hit by as much radiation as Europa.
